Idaho’s state Board of Education, meeting in Moscow today, has voted to raise student tuition and fees at the University of Idaho, Boise State University and Lewis-Clark State College by 3.5 percent. That’s well under the requests from the two largest universities. The U of I had proposed a 6 percent increase in full-time, resident undergraduate tuition and fees. Boise State had proposed a 5.1 percent hike. The board approved a 3 percent increase for Idaho State University, and 2.5 percent for Eastern Idaho Technical College; that matched their requests.
