House kills 'pet-friendly' license plate bill - again


After several parliamentary hiccups, the House agreed, on a 33-30 vote, to reconsider Rep. Hy Kloc’s “pet-friendly” special license plate bill. Rep. Lance Clow, R-Twin Falls, who originally voted against the bill – which died on a tied vote – said, “I felt like there was a lot of people absent at the time, and for that reason, I felt like it should be considered, and for myself, I felt like I made a mistake.” Debate then followed, all in favor of the bill. Rep. John Gannon, D-Boise, noted that the House had just passed a Rotary special license plate bill; such plates are voluntary, and people choose to donate money to get them, he said. Rep.
