Although it’s not yet opening for downhill skiing, Bogus Basin announced today that it’ll open its tubing hill this weekend, along with cross-country skiing and its Nordic lodge and a non-lift-served, hiking-only terrain park near the base of the No. 1 Deer Point chairlift. “We’re continuing to make snow on a daily basis and anticipate opening more terrain next weekend,” said General Manager Brad Wilson. “If the current weather pattern continues, we expect to have the Coach lift open along with our two new beginner conveyor lifts on Dec. 16.” Tubing sessions cost $15 plus tax; the Nordic highway is groomed from the Frontier Point Lodge to Superior, a 6.4-K out-and-back loop; and the hiking-served terrain park, which is for intermediate to advanced...
